Dan Smith’s debut novel, The
Camera Eye, is currently available through
Hilliard and Harris publishers as is his second novel The Power. Dan has also had several short
stories published in various literary magazines, including Epiphany Magazine and the
U.K.
magazine, The Crime
Scene.
Dan graduated from the creative writing program at The
Educational Center of The Arts in New
Haven in 1986. Since then, he has seen 18 of
his plays produced on various stages in
Connecticut. His play,
A
Sparkle in The Sky, was the first runner-up in the 2001 ATHE
national playwriting competition. Dan has had three short
screenplays produced, and currently has one in production. His
feature-length screenplay, Slip, was a 2004 Project
Greenlight finalist, and a finalist for best screenplay in The 2007 International Mystery Writers'
Festival. His screenplay, The Masked Man, was a finalist in
the 2008
Picture Start Film Festival.

Dan lives in
Connecticut with his
wife and two children.
