Shea Burke begins her FBI career with an investigation into the cold cases of eight missing teenage girls. Although local police had determined each case to be a runaway, Shea becomes convinced there is one person—one monster—responsible. Her investigation leads her to a seemingly harmless local man, Stanley Stonebridge.

Shea discovers that Stanley covertly videotapes attractive women in public places, and sells the footage to voyeur web sites. When a new girl, Tammy Ardito, disappears, Shea believes that she has evidence linking Stanley to the girl’s abduction. But Shea’s supervisors don’t trust the new agent’s instincts, and want to focus on another suspect.

Shea must overcome the bureaucracy of the FBI, the fragile emotions of the

Ardito family, and nightmares from her own past as she enters the dark world of

Stanley Stonebridge.

Shea is determined to find Tammy alive, but will the obstacles in her way be too

much?
